Williamsburg, Virginia is a great place to take the whole family due to several things. Those reasons being Busch Gardens Amusement Park, Colonial Williamsburg, and the neighboring historic towns of Jamestown and Yorktown. This is where America was born over 200 years ago after the Revolutionary War.
Now, every child loves amusement parks especially for the rides. Busch Gardens of Williamsburg has been nominated the world’s “most beautiful theme park” for 17 straight years. There are over 50 exhilarating rides to go on with one being called “Griffon”. It is the world’s tallest floorless dive coaster that drops over 200 feet straight down and gets up to 70 mph! Roller coasters were not made to do that when I was a kid. Besides the rides, there are shows, animal attractions, historical and educational resources and dining options just to name a few. Adults (ages 10 and up) can have fun in the park for about $60/day per person and any child ages 3 to 9 get in for about $50 for the day. Be sure to check out Busch Gardens during your stay in Williamsburg!

In 1969, the sleepy little town of Woodstock, New York became a household word. Everyone was suddenly aware of where it was and what was (or wasn’t) there. It’s nearly 40 years later. What’s going on in Woodstock, now?
Long before the famous Rock Festival catapulted it into the spotlight, Woodstock was already a mecca for writers, artists and musicians. The oldest continuous chamber music festival in the country, the Maverick Concerts, has been hosted there since 1916 and the 350 acre Byrdcliff Arts Colony, a haven for artists of all kinds, has been around since 1903.

Forget flying halfway around the world to find happiness. Christine Garvin shows you how to look locally.

Much like the billion others who read Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert, I fought the immediate urge to chuck my job, rent, friends and credit card bills and book the first available flight to India so that I could meditate all of my problems away.

Churches, temples, mosques, synagogues ?? whatever faith they belong to, and wherever they are in the world, these holy places almost always make it onto the tourist’s itinerary.
We come out of curiosity about another country’s religious traditions, or to see the incredible artistic and architectural creations, or simply to soak in that solemn, reverential vibe so strikingly absent from almost all other aspects of modern life.

Television news bombards us daily with images of global destruction, famine, disease, and wars.
No wonder we despair at the future mankind is forging for itself, one filled with hopelessness and religious fanatics hiding behind guns.
However, what the news does not show is a modified trend amongst the citizens of the world - a transfer from salvation to liberation; a change in mindset and taking responsibility, teaching other like-minded individuals by example.

In the midst of Los Angeles County??s west side, Redondo Beach sets itself apart from the masses of southern California beaches in many ways while still reflecting the best of the laid-back lifestyle for which the area is legendary. Close to so many amusement parks and museums, Redondo Beach is certain to have something enjoyable for everyone.

Redondo Beach has been referred to many times as having ???one of the most romantic sunset watching places in the entire world”- the Seafront Esplanade. The city that once was one of the busiest commercial ports in southern California now is home to a pleasure pier, lined with quaint, unique shops and restaurants and a sport fishing fleet. Don??t forget about the marinas, for what would a southern Cali beach destination be without them!

VisitBritain, formerly known as the British Tourist Authority and the English Tourism Council before they merged, now has a dedicated?luxury section on its website.? Whilst it has some useful information within it, it is also sadly lacking in some areas.? For instance, click on ‘First Class Travel’ under ‘Luxury experiences’ and you get some editorial that tells you to click on the links “to find out some luxurious travel options offered by our partners” but then no links are provided!? Oh well… perhaps that’s to be expected for VisitBritain…
