Too much economic growth under the Wall Street model is not good. It is rapacious and deadly.

Bad times for the United States economy.
Consumer spending is down. Economic growth is turning negative. We??re headed for a recession. Our politicians are desperate to solve this problem, to squeeze a few more micro-points of economic growth out of the American people.

The holiday season. It arrives with festivities and departs with similar flair. Goodbye…and please do not return until next year.
Christmas has always been about family, yet in the same context, Christmas has been about the spirit of giving??in many different ways.
When I say giving, I am referring to a scale of giving; from honest care to its?? opposite, or shall we say mass consumption and the hoards of consumers, entering shops and browsing online catalogs with as deep or as shallow of pockets permissible.

Ever since I began traveling solo at age 19, I’ve been told the same thing over and over: traveling alone as a woman is dangerous.
Many people speak as if I’m inviting violence upon myself, as if it would be my fault if something happened, as if we live in a world that is populated only by creeps and muggers.
I always explain that danger is a fact of everyday life wherever we live, and that an autonomous woman is safer than one who depends on others for protection, because she is self-assured.
