When you think of incredible beaches, New York may not be the first place that comes to mind. However, Long Island, particularly the area know as The Hamptons, has long been the preferred beach destination for those who can afford to vacation anywhere on Earth.
The east end of Long Island, which is home to East Hampton and Montauk, sticks nearly one hundred miles out into the Atlantic Ocean. The nearby Gulf Stream blesses the peninsula with relatively moderate temperatures and it’s bounded by water on 3 sides so the fishing in incredible. A former whaling port, Montauk is now home to both the largest commercial and sport fishing fleets in the State of New York. Anglers from new York CIty take the train here to catch striped bass, blues, sharks and other ocean species.

The Art of Buying Travel Luggage
?
Not all luggage is created equal. There is a wide variety of prices and quality between manufacturers. Before you purchase luggage you should consider what your actual luggage usage will be. There is no need for you to purchase the most expensive luggage if you only travel once or twice a year or if you never plan to fly. Most people probably remember the old Samsonite commercial with gorillas throwing the luggage around their cage. While this was hilarious it was close to the truth. Checked luggage takes a beating. If you never plan to fly you don’t need super expensive luggage. Of course, we’d never recommend buying the cheapest either. You will still need luggage that will hold up under some abuse. We’d also recommend you pay close attention to how luggage is priced. Most manufacturers highly over inflate the price of their luggage then bring the prices down claiming they are on sale or are deeply discounted. Don’t believe this. This is what the jewelry industry does. When you’re looking at luggage always start with the final price.

Cruises have become a popular method of vacationing in the past couple of decades, and many special interest groups have jumped on the bandwagon of organizing cruises with their common objectives in mind. Caribbean Christian cruises are just one of the ways that people of faith from all walks of life and denominations can join together for fun and fellowship in a potentially life changing opportunity. These cruises have been organized for Christian couples, singles, pastors and even Christian writers. Most of these cruises include seminars by popular speakers, concerts by some of the hottest names in Christian music, and plenty of time for relaxation and rejuvenation under the warm Caribbean sun.

During our recent field trip (Dallas) we were browsing trough the Dallas Museum of Art and discovered “Placenotes”.? Claiming to be ” a new kind of travel guide”, we were highly entertained!? Each box contains flashcards, about the size of a passport or larger, with a color photo of a area of interest on one side?and a summary, map, and pertinent information about that site on the reverse side.? Best of all, we were both able to enjoy the card deck at the same time!

As with many ski towns, Park City was originally established as a mining town. In the 1860’s, flocks of people moved here to pursue riches in silver mining. At this time the streets were lined with saloons and featured a very popular red-light district. In the 1930’s mineral prices fell due to the depression, and the town felt the effect. Business collapsed and the population dwindled. Over time things got better and in 1963 Park City Consolidated Mines built the first chairlift on what was then known as Treasure Mountain. At this time, $3.50 would get you a weekend pass to go skiing and sledding. Times have changed a bit since then, but the skiing is still world-class, and the town offers many cultural events and festivals.

The land is the star attraction in Central Oregon and Bend is smack in the center of it all. Bend, Oregon sits in one of those improbable whorls on the earth where geographies collide. Here, mountains meet high desert. Rivers lace dry plains and lakes and lava lurk in the forests. About 2.5 million acres of Central Oregon is public land and includes the Deschutes and Ochoco National Forests and the Crooked River National Grassland.

Bored with chain hotels? Tired of their same old scenery and sick of their sedate Muzak? If you’re looking for convenient Denver lodging that will make you smile instead of yawn, then, it’s time for you to try a brand, spanking new hotel in downtown Denver, The Curtis. Imagine a thoroughly modern motel with decor and demeanor devoted to pop culture. Yeah, I know you’re thinking “how cheesy”, but you’d be oh so wrong. Every thing is done with such panache and style that you’ll finally feel as cool as you wished you’d been in high school.

Enjoy a great variety of Madison Wisconsin Attractions

Enjoy a trip to this “hamlet” of over 200,000 people just 2 1/2 hours north of Chicago and you’ll be surprised to find out that there are a host of activities for everyone - whether you’re a family-group or a business traveler.
The Henry Vilas Zoo is a great stop for young and old. They started as a family operation in 1911 and still runs today on the premise that the zoo should be accessible to everyone - regardless of income or status. Therefore, keeping with an almost 100 year tradition, Zoo admission is completely free - that’s right FREE. What a great way to spend the day enjoying the spring sun or fall colors.
