How To Reconnect With Your Friends After The Journey

When returning home from long trips abroad, I’m always surprised by how much has changed. Somehow, I seem to have a subconscious expectation that life was on pause ??“ just waiting for me to come back and pick up where I left off.

Of course, that isn’t how it works.

I come back to find out that my circle of friends isn’t quite the same. Some people aren’t talking to each other anymore. Old couples have broken up, and new ones have formed. Old roommates have finished school and moved away.

What a Small World After All  !!!!

After traveling for years by the traditional “plane” method, it is wonderful?  to experience? the web 2.0 “cyber” version of travel.?  I changed my antiquated, and somewhat static, website to the blog format just about one month ago and have never looked back.?  In addition to the challenge and excitement of launching a new site, I have been joyed and overwelmed by the encouragement and support of my new friends and fellow bloggers accross the web; especially? my fellow bloggers at Blogcatalog.?

Destination: Hawaii - Travel on the Rise after Wet Winter

Travel to Hawaii is ramping up after recent rains have slowed bookings. The weather has cleared and sunshine has returned to the Islands!

Recently John Monahan, President and CEO of the Hawai??™i Visitors and Convention Bureau (HVCB) stated ???We??™re enjoying blue skies and the warm sunny climate that everyone expects when coming to Hawai??™i.???[1]

Repeat travelers to Hawaii are on the rise, with more than 62% of visitors enjoying the sun and sand more than once. Today??™s travelers are also more likely to be independent, and rely less on group and package tours. In 2000 just over 49% of travelers were independent explorers, while in 2005 that number rose to nearly 54%.[2]
