Sure, it’s the gambling capital of the universe, but there are some people who go to Las Vegas and don’t gamble a cent. I’m one of them. I don’t have any high minded reasons not to gamble. I think it’s a perfectly valid way to pass your time. It’s just that when I spend money, I like to see a little something for it and I never do. So, I go to shows, instead.
I recently attended Cirque Du Soleil’s Mystere at the Treasure Island hotel and casino and all I can say is “wow, wow, wow!”. As a permanent fixture on the strip, Mystere has a theater that was built just for it. You can imagine the possibilities this presents - an articulated floor that rises and falls in sections, props and fixtures that are perfectly hidden away when not in use, orchestra lofts instead of a pits and seating areas that give every spectator a perfect view of the action.

For many people, a cruise is the ultimate example of a luxurious vacation, with a week or two spent enjoying comfortable accommodations, sun, and sand. However, it can also seem like an unattainable thing to have as well. However, cruises to the Caribbean are more affordable than ever before, with more people flocking to cruise ships and the internet serving as a better way to find low prices for fun cruises.
But those who have been on cruises before will tell you that finding a low price on a cruise ticket is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the cost of a cruise. However, there are ways to prevent affordable cruises to the Caribbean turning into something that puts you far into debt. There are some pitfalls you can avoid.

Home of the famed Cirque du Soleil show O, the Bellagio Hotel has this and much more to offer the Las Vegas guest. Opened in 1998, this luxury hotel is patterned after a Roman extravaganza, but offers everything for the modern traveler.
Sited on the shores of a 10-acre man-made lake, the hotel houses 20 restaurants and cafes, a 65,000 square foot spa and salon and a dozen other attractions.
The famed Bellagio Fountains are just outside. A thousand choreographed sprays blossom into the air in a water ballet that has to be seen and heard to be appreciated. The jets are timed to classical music and Las Vegas visitors will often stand in front of them day or night for an hour and watch the show.

Imagine Las Vegas and you have images of neon lights, casinos and maybe a spectacular show. But Vegas has much more to offer than the expected modern pleasures. Fewer than 20 miles from The Strip is a different kind of spectacular view: Red Rock Canyon.
With 1.2 million visitors per year it’s hardly an unknown option. But seeing this magnificent group of sandstone cliffs and canyons isn’t the sort of thing that immediately comes to mind when you picture a Vegas vacation. But it should. They’re amazing.

One of the oldest hotels in Las Vegas still standing, first opened in August 1966, Caesars Palace has never gone out of style. Recently renovated, it is still the Emperor of the city. With all the changes that the famed desert city has seen over the decades, the attractions at Caesars are still first rate.

With all the new shopping centers, restaurants and entertainment offered by Las Vegas these days it’s easy to forget about the casinos. But they are still the center of attraction for many.
Vegas still has many of the old-time icons to offer like the Sahara. But many new ones have sprouted up in just the past decade. Even those as old as 40 years have seen major renovations in the past few years, to compete and to keep that youthful spirit ever fresh.
MGM Grand
Come to Hollywood. The granddaddy of modern Vegas, the casino complex is built to resemble a huge movie set, sort of like James Bond on steroids. Even with the 16,000 seat auditorium and dozens of restaurants, there’s still plenty of room for gaming. Whether you’re an old-timer who still wants to play keno or you’re a young stud or studette with an itch for high stakes poker, you won’t walk away disappointed. Empty-pocketed, maybe.

Montreal derives its musical-sounding name from a nearby mountain, Mont Royal, which also happens to be one of its main tourist attractions. But there’s much more to this city on the St. Lawrence River than natural wonders, as abundant as those are.
Montreal holds interest for those many tourists who enjoy visiting religious structures around the world.
St. Joseph’s Oratory atop Mont Royal has the second largest dome in the world, following only St. Peter’s in Rome. This unusual work of devotion by Brother Andre was constructed at his urging and holds his very heart, preserved in a glass case inside.
